Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team in Saint John, NB. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architectural specialties and a keen eye for detail. As an Estimator working for a sub-contractor, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for various projects, based on your complete understanding of the project scope. Key Responsibilities:

• Regularly review publications, project databases, and online platforms to identify and track potential project / bidding opportunities.
• Analyze project plans and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to gather necessary information.
• Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expenses.
• Prepare and present cost summaries and proposals to clients.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and pricing.
• Assist in the development and implementation of cost control strategies.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience within the architectural specialties industry.
• Previous experience with roller shades, bathroom accessories & partitions, lockers or access hatches is considered an asset but not prerequisite.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials handling, and cost control.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (comfortable to make phone calls and deal with people outside of the organization).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
